ABOUT ʻAHA ALOHA ʻŌLELO

‘Aha Aloha ʻŌlelo features Hawaiian language competitions in which students and adults from around the Hawaiian Islands compete in Hawaiian writing, speech, memorization, chant and singing events. ‘Aha Aloha ʻŌlelo is offered as a free community event. In addition to the Hawaiian language competitions, ‘Aha Aloha ʻŌlelo features Hawaiian music by multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winners, as well as food, education, fashion, plants, art, crafts, demonstrations, a keiki play zone and more.

 
 
THE NATION TO WHICH PEOPLE BELONG TO IS KNOWN IN THE LANGUAGE THEY SPEAK. IF THE MOTHER TONGUE OF A NATION WERE TO BE FORGOTTEN, THAT NATION WOULD SURELY BE OBLITERATED.
